WWT Bowling coaches may have finally found the dream team and with this combination of kids who dedicated their lives to the sport, the team came home with the prize. This year the girls stuck together and overcame one of the hardest things to do in sports, go 21-0 and place second in the MAC Championship. The girls attribute their success to the help they received from their teammates both the boys, girls JV team. They could not have done this if they did not practice as hard as they did. This year there are 29 bowlers in all, which is all all time high.
The girls varsity team consists of: Erica Geml, Madison Kenyon, Cassandra McCarren, Sabrina Shankin, Miranda Walker, and Melinda Yang.
The girls JV team consists of: Randi Beaudette, Gina Genova, Kayla Lentes, Evelyn Snowden, and Nazyvia Thompson.
The boys JV team consists of: Jaelin Barbee, Christopher Bejma, James Borgesi, De’aire Brown, John Dzielski, Anthony Lamerato, Hayden Lowell, Zae’shawn Reynolds, Robert Rupp, Peter Vue, and Phillip Walker.
The boys varsity consists of: Jacob Caza, Joshua Conner, Jonathan Forbush, Brendan Hansen, Alexander Hood, Jonathan Newlin, and Alexander Zocharski.
The girls had a phenomenal season and although the boys worked really hard, they fell short of their goals for the season. “ They are so good at practice but once it comes to the meets they are overwhelmed and come up short,” said Miranda Walker.
The girls will play in districts as they hope to continue their winning streak and advance to a state championship.
