Businesses always welcome expansions and improvements. Our very own school store, Campus Corner, is no exception. The new marketing teacher, Ms. Layla Kayyod was nominated to receive a $2,500 grant to fix up Campus Corner and its products.
If she is awarded the grant, Ms. Kayyod will use the money to purchase materials to use on the school’s new embroidery machine. Using the raw materials and embroidery machine, the marketing class can create and sell items for a discounted price. In marketing, this is called doing business “in-house.” In house production is a form of a lower cost production of goods.
In order for Ms. Kayyod to win the $2,500 grant for campus corner, Ms. Kayyod has to be voted into the top 60 out of 420 proposals. Anybody can vote for Ms. Kayyod by visiting the website thankamericasteacher.com, scrolling to the bottom of the page, typing in Ms. Kayyod’s name, click “Send Your Thank You”, and submit. It’s that easy! Staff and students can vote once a day and ends March 31st.
