Although Valentine’s Day has come to an end, that doesn’t mean the love has to go with it. Here are some of your fellow Titans first kiss stories, and be warned; some may be more awkward than others.
The sound of children laughing echoed throughout the play structure, but the laughter of two children in particular stood out the most. They were at a birthday party at Burger King. Sitting at the top of the structure, inside the helicopter nothing else seemed to matter. She was dared to kiss him by her older sisters and if she completed their challenge, she would win a donut. “I kissed him and then ran away,” Hailey Eis ‘17 explained. They were both in kindergarten.
He was at his house for his sister’s 10th birthday party. He was around 5 years old at the time so he was just full of energy. My oldest sister somehow blackmailed him into kissing another girl who was at the party. “My sister pushed mine and the girl’s heads together,” Andrew Badro ‘17 described.
He had a girl come over his house to watch a movie. After some time passed we started kissing. “She told me she was single but she wasn’t,” Ryan Feuquay ‘17 said.
It was just an ordinary ending to an ordinary day of freshman year. “I was telling her I wanted to kiss her for awhile but I never had enough courage,” Anthony Rissman ‘19 said. She had been his girlfriend for a month and he thought it was time. On this ordinary day he finally gathered up enough courage to kiss her. “It was super awkward,” Rissman ended with.
“My first kiss was in my car,” anonymous student said. She got off work to find that he was bowling with his friends so she went to go meet him there. At the end of the night she drove him home and he kissed her before he left. Now they are dating.
They watched the movie Hitch on their second date and when he was leaving he tried to recreate one of the scenes. Instead of throwing an inhaler like in the movie, he threw a DVD. “I leaned in 90% of the way and made her go 10%,” teacher Nick Evola explained.
In 4th grade they were outside at recess playing on the swings. All the teachers were lined up on the wall close to the school, but the swings were in the back so they were not as visible. They started a game of truth or dare and things escalated from there. “I was dared to kiss one of my guy friends,” Daphne Small ’17 said.
