Oh what a night! The Everything’s Fine/Symphony Soldier Tour surpassed all my expectations. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to hands down. I had a blast rocking out to great songs by my boys The Cab, and enjoyed every other band that played that night. It was all around a great experience and left me on cloud nine.
My friend and I were too excited the day of the concert that we couldn’t contain ourselves. I got all dolled up, making sure I looked my best for the big night. We hopped into the car and made our way to Pontiac, preparing ourselves by listening to the performer’s music on the way.
Anticipation and a cold shiver filled our bodies as we waited about an hour and a half to be able to actually get in the doors. I wasn’t feeling any nerves at this point just high excitement, but by the time I got my VIP pass and made my way into the general admission area where The Cab was having a sound check, I did get a little shaky. I know it sounds funny but I was anxious meeting a band that is truly inspirational to me.
All the VIP’s were able to meet each and every one of The Cab and The Summer Set band members. It was very nice to shake their hands and actually become acquainted with these people who are great artists in my eyes.
After signatures, the bands had to get ready for the show so we, being in the venue before everyone else, were able to make our ways right to the front. With pushing and shoving constantly, I was still able to manage my barricade spot the whole time during the concert.
Paradise Fears was the first band to play and they were extremely good, they really put on a show. Days Difference, a new band that I haven’t heard of before then, had a One Republic kind of feel to their music, and I liked them very much. He Is We’s performance was exceptionally amazing. I knew of them prior to the concert, but hearing them live was such a cool thing, I love their music.
Finally, The Cab made their way on stage. I cannot describe how amazing it was to hear all of songs that I listened to over and over again on my iPod live! It was like a whole different feeling and sound to their lyrics. Alex’s voice was exceptional; he can sing extremely well. I was very pleased with their performance. Plus, being as close as I was, having him kneel down and sing right in front of me wasn’t bad either.
Then, after their amazing set, the adorable Brian Dales and the rest of The Summer Set came out to end the show with an electrifying performance. They were beyond amazing, their stage presence was great. The vibe of excitement that they gave off filed through the crowd and the reaction they got was immeasurable.
I am super happy that I was able to go to the Everything’s Fine/Symphony Soldier Tour this year. Being that close to the stage and having the opportunity to meet these great artists made a lasting memory. From now on, VIP is certainly the way to go because it makes the experience a hundred times better.
