Punk/pop is one of the best genres of music out there. Rap, hard-core rock, or even mainstream music can’t compete with it. I live by pop music; pop bands are my obsession. A dude with a guitar and singing about love makes my heart melt, I can’t get enough of it.
There are a lot of bands I like, the list can go on for days, but there is a distinct group of musicians that I have become very fond of. They are the brilliant minds of the men from The Cab. When I say I have been listening to these guys non-stop, I truly mean that every time I light up my iPod one of their songs is bound to be playing.
The Cab is a rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. They put out their first album Whisper War in 2008. Since then, they have been on the fast track to fame. One of their songs from the album, “I’ll Run” was a hit, but The Cab has certainly grown from there.
Now touring with artists such as Simple Plan, Forever The Sickest Kids, and NeverShoutNever, the band has been on the high road to fame. Their most recent album, Symphony Soldier, is their best yet.
They started touring for the Symphony Soldier album at the beginning of this month. Another band, The Summer Set, is also touring along with The Cab, and is just as amazing. They are a four man, one girl band and have exceptional lyrics. The combination of these skills and an attractive lead singer who goes by the name Brain Dales, The Summer Set is another band who I could listen to for days.
I love both bands so when I found out that they were going on tour together I knew I had to make it a mission to go and see them. My prayers were answered when my best friend bought both of us tickets to go see Everything’s Fine/Symphony Soldier Tour on February 3rd in Pontiac, MI at The Crowfoot. It was the best Christmas present ever.
I cannot wait to see two of my favorite bands live, but what is really exciting is we have meet and greet tickets. So not only do I get to experience them live, I am able to meet each and every band member. I’m already counting down the days until the date comes, I know this will be a special and memorable time. Check back in two weeks to see my full coverage of this concert.
