With the ACT and the MME approaching for the juniors, the test incentive program is returning from last year. However, this year, you, juniors, get to choose which incentives will be considered by the administration. The incentives below may be acquired through individual or cumulative achievement of the junior class on the ACT or MME. The proposed incentives at the moment are as follows:
Lunch Fast passes
- Individuals who meet the set Act or MME standards will get a special colored strip on their ID that allows them to go into an accelerated “fast” line at lunch
Midterm exam opt out
- A returning favorite, standard meeting individuals will be able to opt out of their midterm exam if they have an A or B in the class and no unverified absences (the same requirements to opt out of the end of the year final)
Dodge ball Pass
- On Mini-Pep Rally day, and on the last day of school, students would be permitted a pass to go to the gym and play dodge ball for an hour.
Early Prom Day dismissal
- Qualifying students will be able to leave early on prom day to prep without penalty
The Return of IPods
- This is a cumulative goal for the junior class. If the whole class achieves a certain standard score on the tests, the entire school (all 1200 or so students) will get their IPod privileges back
