Thanksgiving has just ended and you’ve filled your stomach with all the goodies you could find. What is there to do after? Well, find your favorite store and get in line.
On November 23rd Black Friday will be here. Deals are going to be hot; stores like Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister are yet to release their offers. All we know is that it’s going to be so big their bringing in “Their Hottest Guys” for the event.
Black Friday can be your opportunity to get all your Christmas shopping done. Whether it’s for your boyfriend, girlfriend, best friends, parents, whomever, you can find something good. Jewelry, video games, clothes, almost anything you can think of will be on sale.
The best time to find out offers is to go online the day before. So while you’re watching the Thanksgiving Day parade, are bored, or just relaxing find a computer or even a newspaper. Beware to lookout for major door busters and coupons that can save you even more money. Kohl’s is having over 500 door busters and offering “Kohl’s Cash.”
As early as 8pm Thanksgiving Day some stores are opening. Although, most are opening at midnight. Bath and Body Works, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, BestBuy, and malls like Lakeside are the midnight openers. The best thing to do is check individual stores for times and deals.
Some people will disagree that Black Friday is not the deal. “I’m not going out with the crazy people to be in a zoo,” Allison Hansen ‘15 commented.
“Like literally I want to live, it’s too early in the morning to die,” Alyson Linton ’15 added.
Although, the one thing I’ve learned about Black Friday is that it depends where you go and what time. Just mind your own business and get what you came for or look quickly. Just ignore that crazy lady who is running for 50% off waffle makers.
On the other hand, Natalia Sak ’15 this will be her first year going. “I’m going with some friends because my mom never goes but I want to be first in line,” Sak said. Some people take Black Friday so seriously, in Tampa, Florida outside a BestBuy people are already lining up.
If you can’t make it out Friday or are worried about crowds, go now if you can. Stores like Aeropostale and PacSun are having early bird sales. Target even has a name for theirs, the “Beat the Rush Sale.”
Furthermore, if you don’t get the chance to make it out now or to the madness Friday, there are also good deals this weekend. Not as good as Friday’s or Targets “Beat the Rush but, still decent deals. Many stores will throw things 50% off to get people in to buy Christmas presents.
So if your parents are going, hop in the car. If you’re old enough, drive yourself to the store of your choice. Black Friday is definitely something to experience.
Overall, have a great break and holiday!
